Vintage Brass Aftaba Pitcher and Matching Plate

The Vintage Brass Aftaba Pitcher and Matching Plate brings warm color and an elegant, elongated silhouette to a collected interior. A narrow neck rises from the rounded body, balanced by a curved spout and tall handle with a hinged lid.
The simple brass surface allows the vessel’s proportions to take center stage. Its small accompanying plate frames the pedestal base, giving the two pieces a complete appearance when displayed together on a shelf or cabinet.
The original listing identifies this form as an aftaba and associates it with carrying Ganges water. That is source context, not verified provenance for this individual piece. Display the pair for its sculptural shape and vintage character, without assigning an unsupported history or making claims about the water traditionally associated with the form.
